Who’s loving some kebab?
I don’t totally love it, but I love the kebab by Kebab Cuy!
Located in Jatinegara X’tainment, this funkily named kebab joint is one to watch out. They offer 3 kinds of Kebab and despite a short range of choices, Kebab Cuy really knows how to spoil your tastebuds. They are more focusing on their good ingredients and make their own delicious combinations that will make you love it.
The 3 kinds of Kebab are Kebab Original, Kebab Balado, and Kebab Indomie.
# Kebab Original
For honest Kebab lovers, the ultimate choice goes to Kebab Original (the kebab with magenta sauce in the picture). Consisted of tender grilled meat, vegetables, beetroot yogurt sauce, and garlic yogurt sauce, this original version is definitely my favourite. I love every bit of the savoury combination, twisted with an earthy touch of beetroot, and subtle garlicky flavor.
# Kebab Balado
For spicy food lovers, Kebab Cuy has this Kebab Balado. With a good grilled meats, extra balado sauce and some potato cuts. The result is some good heat to your mouth, extra the fragrant balado flavor.
# Kebab Indomie
For indomie lovers, there is even a good choice for you and it’s Kebab Indomie. Imagine a classic fried indomie, mixed with delicious grilled meats and spices. The indomie is pretty subtle here and considering the main show is still kebab, Kebab Cuy does a pretty good job with this.

See, Kebab Cuy has a good selection for everyone. Either you are a spicy food lover, a noodle lover, or a purist, you will be able to enjoy the kebab here.
Price-wise, it’s pretty decent and it has several options, either beef or lamb and with or without package. For packages, you will get salad and french fries as the sides. It ranges from IDR 25 k – 35 k for these kebabs.
Oh, besides Kebab, they also have this delicious Maryam Bread. It’s actually roti canai with chocolate or cheese toppings (or both!).
Price for Maryam Bread ranges from IDR 18 k – IDR 22 k. The Chococheese (IDR 22 k) was generous in chocolate sprinkles and cheese.
Well, the last question. Where can you find Kebab Cuy?
For now, it’s only available at Jatinegara X’tainment. It’s pretty far away, but if you live there or maybe hang out around the area, give Kebab Cuy a visit. My recommendation? Still the Kebab Original. Take the package so you can have a full decent meal. 😉
