Oasis at the End of the Land. Lands End Cafe.

Imagine walking towards the end of the road, to one beautiful corner of the land. It is a long road, and when you’re seemingly closing in to your destination, a sight of colourful little place catch you off guard. Then you decide to stop and drop by. It’s a pretty place and it looks like a safe haven in a far away land. Like an oasis.

Well, that was what I felt all along about LANDS END CAFE. The thing is, I didn’t stumble upon the place. With the blessing of technology, I found Lands End Cafe from TripAdvisor, ranking somewhere around top 5 in the area. Praises were launched by people and my curiosity was raising quickly. I was planning to head to Uluwatu Temple anyway, so visiting Lands End Cafe became mandatory.

Upon arrival, the little place looked quiet. There was just a group of three enjoying their breakfast. Well, my first impression was positive, as it looked promising as well. From then on, everything was sailing smooth. The food was tasty and healthy (who says healthy food can’t be tasty?) and the casual beach life vibe was just perfect for us.

The menu selection was extensive, and oh, I think the list changes every once in a while. We had a bowl of Fruit Salad, Yogurt and Granola and Breakfast Quesadilla.

– Breakfast Quesadilla (IDR 55 k) –

– Fruit Salad, Yogurt and Granola (IDR 40 k) –

Both dishes did not disappoint. The Fruit Salad, Yogurt and Granola was pretty standard (healthy and fulfilling), but the Breakfast Quesadilla was more than excellent. The Breakfast Quesadilla was generously filled with scrambled egg, bacon, avocado, cheese and black beans. All those ingredients tasted so right in the mouth! I laff it.

Oh, we had Managa (IDR 45 – Large) as thirst-quencher. It’s a combination of Mango, Dragon Fruit, Strawberry and Coconut. The overall blend was rich and tropical-tasting. Oh, they weren’t kidding calling it large.

Ah, Lands End Cafe is definitely a recommendation if you plan to visit the area. The laid-back peaceful ambiance and humility was two factors that I enjoyed the most, of course aside from the healthy delicious organic food!

Smile!
