Indomie Party at Warung Mevvah!

Well, as if Indomie is not popular enough here, there are always crazy ways to make it even more popular. Let’s say, why don’t we upgrade it with various toppings and escalate it with a touch of more flavours, and target itself with youngsters. Sounds familiar? I know right, not entirely a new idea nowadays, but hey, it’s always welcome with open arms.

Here is a particular “Warung” in Pantai Indah Kapuk named itself Warung Mevvah (read: mewah), and gladly, it doesn’t fail to live up to its name. How’s so?

First, It is located in one of the prestigious area filled with middle to high end restaurants, and of course, middle to high end patrons.

Second, it has air-con and minimalistic x fancy decor and ambiance. Oh, smells fishy! (Which youngsters won’t love great ambiance?)

Third, the instant noodle they are offering has fancy twists. Let’s say, iga penyet on top of it, salted egg milky broth, and tom yum flavours. Which adventurous foodventurers wouldn’t love to try it?

Well, with those three criteria, I bet, it is instantly qualified to be called ‘mewah’ right?

Enough with the chitty chitty chit chat, let’s see what Warung Mevvah can offer.

# Indomie Iga Penyet (G)
My most favourite of all. Not only it does have a piece of real penyet-styled ribs, it does have the most significant upgraded flavour. The seasoning is bold and perfect. I ship this, hard! Oh, one of the best features is the consistently bouncy curly noodes, which applies to all the indomie I tried there.

# Indomie Telor Asin Susu (K)
This might look really boring, like blah, but well, looks is always deceiving, so here it is, ranked second best. The key feature is the broth. The milky textured salted egg broth was both fragrant and savoury. You might want to try this and slurp it all for good.
Oh, the additional kornet topping was just right!  Add it for richer flavour!

# Chicken Salted Egg Rice
Another delicious salted egg-based dish. Yeah, right, salted egg won’t ever disappoint!

# Indomie Ramadhan (K)
Another good entry, as it’s quite exciting to see a version of indomie that stays traditional. Well, in this case, the indomie is really equipped with some opor chicken (coconut braised chicken).

# Indomie Mevvah (K)
This is the signature indomie here, as they named it with their own brand. We had this with extra salted egg topping. To enlight about this indomie, it actually is some sort of spicy curry flavour. But the thing is, it’s quite subtle and didn’t bring enough statement as a signature indomie. But I believe a fix can be made real soon!

# Indomie TomYam (K)
This is certainly going to be a hit or miss for some people. It has a certain tangy pungent flavour that brings a refreshing note like the infamous tom yum itself, only more citrusy. Some will love it, some will not. Oh, I added cheese and egg as toppings.
Author’s note:
– Mewah equals luxurious in english
– (G) means goreng (fried)
– (K) means kuah (soup)
– I cannot mention the prices since I truly don’t know. But it is said that the prices are ranging from 14k-20k (more or less)
– The indomie dishes listed above, are in order from most favourite to less favourite (based on my preference).

Besides indomie, here are some other extras and drinks that I tried. (listed randomly below)

# Ropang Mevvah with Nutella, Green Tea, Taro & Peanut Butter
Well, I would simply call this a rainbow ropang, #lovewins style! Well, needless to say, it tasted good, sexy and not boring!

# Pisang Mevvah with Vanilla Ice Cream, Nutella, Cheese and Ceres (chocolate sprinkles)
A party pleaser! Me? I loved it! It’s forbidden for me to say no to banana, chocolate and cheese, well, especially with extra nutella and ice cream!

# Avogato (Shot+Ice Cream)
I chose this, well, because, why not? This won’t ever be boring, and just good! Espresso shot and ice cream can’t ever go wrong right?

# Nutella Blend
Rich rich rich in nutella! Me likey!

Since I obviously just have one mouth, one belly, and limited companions that day (the table was a table of four, honey!), so not every dish can be tasted. Here are some honorable mentions just because they looked so good!

# Indomie Sambal Matah (G)
I bet you’re imagining all the bursting flavours from the combination of indomie goreng and the signature balinese sambal!

# Milo Dinosaurs
For those who dig the richness of milo!

# Thai Milk Tea
Blended style! Sounds refreshing right?

See, how luxurious is this Warung?!
