Bakso Boedjangan has good news for ya. After having a great success with their outlet in Kelapa Gading, Bakso Boedjangan has decided to open a second branch in Jakarta! The second outlet is located in Rawamangun, which is really close to where I live for now. Me, I got the previllege to have a taste in the outlet on 15th Oct 2016.
The place itself is very similar to the outlet in Kelapa Gading. Both outlets have similar interior and have two floors as the dining area. Somehow, it felt like the place here was slightly bigger.
Oh, without further ado, let’s check some of the food here. I promise the pics will make you drool!
# Green Tea Latte (IDR 15 k), Lemonade (IDR 10 k) & Lychee Boedjangan (IDR 15 k)
Green Tea Latte is my most favourite amongst all. The green tea was pretty intense and less sweet as I preferred. The Lychee Boedjangan was pretty great too, a combination of the sweetness and freshness of the lychee. The lemonade is well, a combination of lemon & soda.
# Air Mata Buaya (IDR 15 k) & Cappuccino (IDR 10 k)
This signature drink, Air Mata Buaya, is strangely good. It was sweet, fragrant and has this bubbly soft texture when you drink it. The Cappuccino was pretty okay.

# Es Duren Kesepian (IDR 25 k)
Who’s lonely now? haha. Jokes aside, this is going to be good for those who love durian. This exotic fruit is always a controversy. Some who dislike it, will definitely hate it hard. But some who love it, will definitely be crazy about it!
# Nasi Bakso Saos Telur Asin (IDR 25.5 k)
This rice bowl is my most favourite dish from Bakso Boedjangan. It stays at the top of the throne and will never be replaced. Imagine this. the goodness of the generous salted egg sauce drenches on top of those meatballs and warm bed of steamed rice. Enuff said.
Oh, just in case you don’t like salted egg, they also have other options, from Nasi Bakso Teriyaki, Nasi Bakso Saos Mentega to Nasi Bakso Saos Blackpepper!
# Nasi Goreng Urat Boedjangan (IDR 26.5 k)
Don’t ever underestimate this basic commoners’ food. As basic & simple as it is, fried rice can be one of the best comfort food in Indonesia. Bakso Boedjangan took this dish and turned it into a delicious meal by throwing in some gorgeous chunks of bakso urat! With bold spices and those sexy texture from the meatballs, the fried rice is one dish that you must try here in Bakso Boedjangan.
# Bakso Wagyu Cincang Pedas Sedang (IDR 18 k)
Let’s hop to their infamous bakso dishes. Starting from this dish that includes 1 pc of minced wagyu meatballs with chili stuffing and 2 pcs of small meatballs. Imagine the tender texture and the spicy chili stuffed inside. Add some more grounded red hot chili and you’re set for the journey of wild wild east.
# Bakso Super Urat Sedang (IDR 18 k)
If you’re like me, who truly loves some good ‘fight’ with meatballs, you can opt to have this delicious bowl which will include 1 pc of medium-sized tendon-mixed meatballs and 2 pcs of small meatballs.
# Bakso Telor Bebek (IDR 28 k)
If you’re more into some savoury touch, this might be your bowl of bakso. The bowl includes 1 pc of big duck-egg-stuffed meatballs and 2 pcs of small meatballs. Full happy belly is guaranteed.
# Bakso Super Pedas (IDR 25 k)
For chili hunters, this will be it. A bowl of big chili-stuffed meatball and 2 pcs of small meatballs that will satisfy your hunger. Not hot enough? Feel free to put an extra bottle of grounded red chili. 😂
# Bakso Campur Nikmat (IDR 28 k)
Last but not least. If you don’t mind some extra calories, you can have this one. Bakso Campur Nikmat includes 3 pcs of small meatballs, 2 pcs of cut fried meatballs and some extras (tetelan). Just pure goodness.
All in all, Bakso Boedjangan has succesfully shutted my mouth off again with its meatball creations. I will always come back here for more! Well, or have the food delivered to my doorstep (via gojek) if I’m feeling lazy 😀
