Strolling in Ubud is just a definitely-must-do activity if you visit Bali. There’s something comforting, something seems only right to have a slow casual walk throughout the street. You can sightsee, you can do some shopping or you can just walk around and occasionally give a smile to other tourists and locals who will most definitely smile back. Yes, Ubud is just that neighbourhood which you will never get bored of even when you have nothing to do.
Around Ubud area, you will also find a lot of cafes and restaurants. One of the best ones you can find is Cafe Wayan & Bakery. While walking my way towards the market, I happened to see this nice place with a bunch of cakes posing temptingly in the display fridge.
Like ants towards sugar, I always has this thing with cakes. I instantly stopped and was intrigued. Then, without thinking too much, I went inside and found my own comfortable seat. I asked for a slice of the cake and a cold drink. After all, the day was hot, so it’s just a perfect excuse to have a stop here.
Without expecting much, I apparently was in love with their cake. Love at first bite. And did I tell you that the cake was pretty cheap?

# Strawberry Cheese Cake (IDR 26 k)
The Strawberry Cheese Cake was gorgeously delicious! It had these smooth and moist sponge cake layers and heavenly cheese cream on top and in between the layers. What I really loved the most is the light-flavoured soft sponge cake which made this cake tasted so nice. The strawberry tidbits were a fresh twist and I thoroughly enjoyed the twisted flavours in my mouth.
# Iced Cafe Latte (IDR 30 k)
The drink was good but the coffee was pretty strong.
Cafe Wayan & Bakery is also welcoming people for dinner as well.
In terms of the place itself, it is pretty nice and has this thick Balinese characteristic. Foreigners will mostly love the place, with the warm ambiance and semi-outdoor environment.
