Good news! This post might be a bit late, but my love for Coffee Kulture won’t be! It has been established that I truly love Coffee Kulture, and in my previous post, I did a review for the outlet in Pluit area.
This time around, I have a big urge to write about their new outlet in Baywalk Mall, which is far nicer in terms of space and ambiance. What stays the same is the quality of the food, if not better!
Beware, there are many many pictures below!!!
Talking about interior and ambiance, Coffee Kulture at Baywalk is honestly much prettier and well-designed. The use of wood panelling and chic accessories is clever. What I especially love the most is their sophisticated design that allows more natural daylight to take a bright good peek. Oh, some of the furnitures were brought here from Bali! That’s absolutely why I felt comfortably familiar with the vibe. I’m pretty sure you will think the same about this place if you do come here.
Talking about their food and beverages, they thought well and did change a bit of the menus. Most notable additions are two of its finest salmon menu selections that guarantees to satisfy your appetite. Let’s take a look further below!
# Avocado Coffee Crunch (IDR 50 k)
If I had to say out loud about my ideal caffeine drink in the morning, it would certainly be this. How’s not? The combination of the smooth avocado, chilling chocolate ice cream, milo and a heart-warming (and eye-opening too) shot of espresso were absolute perfection.
# Valrhona Piccolo Mocha (IDR 40 k)
This was when Valrhona Chocolate rocked its magic! Mix it with espresso and milk, and you get the best of three worlds. And, if you are into something real chocolaty, try their Valrhona Chocolate 70%. It’s a real sultry-kind-of-chocolate drink.
# Baozy Smores (IDR 55 k)
If you prefer a fancy yet fulfilling drink, it will be this one. If you prefer a photogenic drink worthy of instagram post, it will be this. If you are having stress and in need of comforting sweet drink, it will be this too.
# Baozy PB and Flakes (IDR 55 k)
Peanut Butter! Say no more! <3
# Latte (IDR 38 k)
The latte here is guaranteed to be a good decent one, to say the very least.
# Truffle Parmesan French Fries (IDR 45 k)
This appetiser seemed to be everyone favourite. Me included. The fries were really fragrant with obvious truffle scent. Well, it’s a total truffle-bath with generous parmesan!
# Cheese Burger Rolls (IDR 65 k)
This is like burger and pizza in the form of spring roll! Tasted good, but it was not my most favourite.
# Salmon Treasure Meatballs (IDR 88 k)
I love meatballs, and I am crazy about salmon. Combine them into one. Then, THEY ARE HEAVEN!
# Pulled Pork Hash Sliders (IDR 59 k)
Best best best sliders! It has golden hashbrowns, delicious patty and melted cheese! Need I say more?
# Truffle Pasta (IDR 79 k)
Probably the most ordered dish of the day! Every body seemed to pick this as their mains. Well, every body loves truffle, so why not. But one note for this specific dish is that they have to watch out more about the amount of salt they put here. It’s because I found my truffle pasta a bit too salty that day. Otherwise, it would be a perfect pasta dish!
# Shrimp Balacan Pasta (IDR 69 k)
Consists of balacan (spicy shrimp paste) and fresh shrimps, this one will easily be a happy meal for seafood lovers. This one seemed to be the easy favourite for most of the bloggers that came that day.
# Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Over Rice (IDR 65 k)
Simply one of the bests salted egg yolk chicken you can get in Jakarta. The salted egg yolk sauce was generous and coated all over the crispy chicken chunks making them all shiny and golden. I really dig this!
# The Ultimate CK Baoger (IDR 69 k)
100gr of juicy beef patty, caramelised onions, crispy bacon and charcoal Baoger (soft bun), plus some french fries. Always my personal favourite that I can only find at Coffee Kulture.
# Caramelized Ginger Salmon with Avocado Salsa (IDR 159 k)
My most favourite salmon menu here. It had this bold flavour coming from the caramelized ginger, making it rather sweet yet twisted with subtle ginger scent. Plus, the avocado salsa came to mellow things out. Really recommended!
# Herbs Crusted Salmon with Lemon Cream Sauce (IDR 159 k)
The less lovable (for me) version of salmon, IMHO. It had light and smooth flavour from the lemon cream sauce. Since I love bold characteristic in terms of flavour in my food, I very much prefer the Caramelized Ginger Salmon with Avocado Salsa.
# Croque Madame (IDR 108 k)
An ideal power breakfast should give more energy to the consumers. This Croque Madame is definitely an example. It consists of toasted sourdough (from BEAU), ham, mozzarella, bechamel sauce, mustard, mesclun salad, microgreens and sunny side up!
# Nana-tella Hotcakes (IDR 65 k)
HOLY MOLLY! Who can resist not one, not two but three layers of fluffy ricotta hotcakes, scrumptious nutella spread, banana, cornflakes and chocolate ice cream? HONESTLY, WHO CAN?
# Berry Fields Hotcakes (IDR 69 k)
OKAY. AGAIN, WHO CAN RESIST THESE BEAUTIFUL AND CLASSY HOTCAKES?
Seriously, my caps lock on button almost pulled itself out of my keyboard. In majority, the food and drinks here were simply too awesome to be missed! I wish they open one more outlet here in Kelapa Gading, and I can totally hang out there like every weekend!
Oh, anyway, in this event, they also held a latte art competition for beginners. And seriously, I made the worst latte art one can ever imagine! I decided not to take any picture of it so nobody knows I suck big time in this particular field. With my pathetic attempt, I realised something, which is a huge respect for barista! But it’s REALLY FUN trying to free-pour milk in the cup of espresso anyway.
Here are some pics of the fun latte art activity. 🙂
Winner takes it all. Just kidding, but instead, the winner got this golden pouring cup!
Well, all in all, Coffee Kulture is doing a great job, especially in the north, where a good coffee shop X cafe is pretty rare (for me). Well, just visit Coffee Kulture and tell me what you think. See you! Who knows we might meet there 😉
