Ho Liaw! New Noodle Joint in Kelapa Gading.

If you’re living in Kelapa Gading, you must have known that noodle joints are literally every where. You can find almost every kind of noodles. One of the newest comers is Ho Liaw! It’s located at Jalan Kelapa Kopyor Q1 No.14, Kelapa Gading.

Ho Liaw

I visited about two weeks ago, when they were freshly opened (with a few red boards of flowers stating the congrats word for the opening of this joint). After knowing their “existence”, we decided to try it the next day. We love noodles for brunch. 😉

Well, it’s 7.30 in the morning, but apparently they were just in the middle of opening preparation. I remember that we had this conversation about why a noodle joint opened this late. Usually, noodle joints have to open early to catch the timing when people have just finished their early churching session and in need to have good breakfast. But gladly, they were fast enough to finish the preparation and welcomed us to sit inside.

Apparently, they do not only have noodle, but they also serve rice dishes such as Nasi Campur (steamed rice with chasio pork and roasted pork) and Nasi Tim (steamed fragrant rice with minced meat on top). Anyway, we decided to have the noodle since it was our initial plan in coming here.

Bakmi Char Siu Babi Panggang - Ho Liaw

# Bakmi Babi Campur (IDR 30 k)
First try and we fell in love. It was real good! This soft-textured noodle was gorgeously cooked and covered with some good pork oil to boost up the flavor. The chopped soy-based pork was lovely with a good hint of garlic, and the roast pork belly just melted in my mouth perfectly fine! Comparing to the neighborhood noodle joint which is also specializes in the crispy pork belly (Bakmi P*lu), I strongly prefer this one. As a good sweet addition, the chasio pork was nicely seasoned. I found the noodle a bit oily but did not care anyway since it was so good.

To be honestly speaking, the portion might be a bit small for my (insatiable) appetite, but I truly enjoyed every bit of this promising noodle. I just hope that they can play smart in appetizing every noodle lovers to come because I think people will have the same thoughts with me regarding their noodle.

I did try this Gohiong (or chunkien), which is actually a deep fried roll of minced meat. It was good!

The other day, I also came to try their Nasi Tim, but it was only an okay. So I suggest you give this joint a try and do yourself a favour in ordering the noodle or Nasi Campur! <3
