So, apparently I lack exploring more options for pizza, and just recently, I found my long-lost love for pizza and it’s Pizza Prank that made it happen!
Located in a bit of an unexplored (yet busy) area for me, Teluk Gong, Pizza Prank unexpectedly surprised me and it’s in a good way! I was initially skeptical about how a pizza could actually impress me. I personally find pizza a lil’ bit boring and I used to really love it, and at the moment, with many pizza joints coming out offering classic style, unique style, thin crust style, et cetera, I thought that I had enough. Too many variations and nothing really made a good change.
Well, Pizza Prank was a bit different in their approach. Pizza Prank led itself to a straight-forward old-style pizza, not necessarily the classic original one in Italy, of course, but for me, who is a person who grew up in Indonesia, the version they offer seems to be nostalgic, yet so much better than I anticipated.
Interior-wise, I really don’t have much to say. I meant, it’s totally clean, neat and some walls have these cute drawings that seem to be good for a selfie. But still for me, it’s alright. The important thing is Pizza Prank has two area, smoking and non-smoking area (outdoor). It’s pretty convenient.
Drink, I have not much to say. We just had a typical soda drinks.
But Pizza? Despite enjoying only two types, I truly love both and not lies here.
# Mrs. Pranker Stripes Pants (IDR 46 k)
The newly-launched menu looked delicious and lucky for us, it tasted just like how it looked. It was delicious. The pizza emitted this lovely aroma since it was freshly baked from the oven, and the texture of the bread was exactly as what I have always preferred. Slightly thick, with tender inside and crispy outside. The generous amount of (cheddar and mozzarella) cheese was really good, and the tomato base was light but very appropriate. The cherry on top was of course their striped meat! Even without chili sauce, the pizza was already really good on its own! I could have eaten the whole pizza for myself.
# Rooster Slam Calzone (IDR 25 k)
As plain as it looks, I should warn you that the appearance deceives. Please don’t be turned off by the look of it. It really looks like a normal calzone but well, this one has an explosive taste of cheese, chicken and pineapple! The combination turned out to be very good, especially when the chicken meets the cheese. It just melted inside my mouth. Best enjoyed directly after it is served.
As honest as I can be, these two were pretty mind-blowing. Didn’t expect these to be THAT good, or perhaps, I just couldn’t expect a new pizza joint which was rather unheard of, could actually make a seriously good pizza.
Pizza Prank is available via GoFood and GrabFood and during my visit, there were plenty of Gojek Drivers coming in and purchased pizza or calzones. You should too! If you find it hard to reach here, you can always use GoFood service and order some pizza that will guarantee to please you. Price-wise, they are very reasonable for me!
There are plenty of pizza and calzone selections, and I am still a newbie here. I would love to come back here and taste some others! Oh, this is important, Pizza Prank sells HALAL PIZZA! 100% Halal!
