On 13th February, Pullman Jakarta held a phenomenal artnight. The theme of the evening is Artnight as to emphasize the celebration of art. And yes, you could find arts in different kinds of shapes there. The whole night was a true celebration, and people were certainly full of smile while enjoying the show, the party and the food.
I initially thought that this invitation was for the event in Pullman in Central Park. I was so wrong because I didn’t pay much attention to the invitation. I almost gave up going there because it was already 7, and if it were in Central Park, it would certainly be impossible for me to get there. (I usually leave my office at 7, the earliest). Gladly, I saw a picture of a friend who had gotten there and I just realised that the hotel was not Pullman Central Park, but instead, Pullman Jakarta. I gave a thought about it for a sec and it hit me that apparently, the hotel as the place of interest was the Pullman Hotel in the heart of the city, Jalan Thamrin, and the former Hotel Nikko. And by realizing that, I left my office and went straight to my destination in a rush.
The evening was started without me eventually, because I came quite late that time. I came unprepared, alone, and my main phone was nearly dead. I went inside the hotel, which had been filled with tons of people laughing, chatting, doing their social stuff. I felt like a misfit. I went to the registration table, got a beautiful usher pinned me a white rose on my vest, and continued my way inside to the big ball room. Throughout my way to the ball room, I saw so many people, Indonesian to foreigners. I couldn’t ignore all the arts that were showcased along my way. After a long happy and confusing (disoriented because of the rush) walk, I got inside the ball room, which was filled with many standing guests. I recognized my friend, Mullie and her husband, Andy from My Fun Food Diary and quickly walked my way to them. And along with them, I met other fellow foodies, Julia and Mardius, from Anak Japan and Ellyna, from Culinary Bonanza. So happy to see familiar faces. =) Very soon, the host showed up and the event in the ball room, was started with lots of playful lasers, great music from the DJ, attractive dancers, and a string of beautiful violin show.
To cut short, here are some of the few scenes I got to witness that evening.
After the fun entertainment, we were happily advised to enjoyed our dinner out of the hall. Then I followed every steps of my friends, then we gradually met with lots of others, starting from Rian and wife from Gastronomy Aficionado, Hans from EatsAndTreats, and Aline from Foolosophy. Things got excited and in a blink, I was suddenly left alone. My phone died sometimes ago, I didn’t know who to contact, so I decided to have a seat for a while. While finding a seat, I wandered through the hall. This place never ceased to amaze me along the slow lonely walk.
I almost decided to leave the event since I didn’t know what to do, and finally, Hans found me and kindly invited me to join their group. Then I did, shyly. Their group welcomed me and my awkwardness. There I met the familiar faces again (of course, we as foodbloggers has a small circle, and we usually knew each other already from the past invitations!), Ci Yenny from Things That Make Me Happy, Soya from Soya VS Food, Octa from Octa Playground, and of course Aline again from Foolosophy! Yep, they saved my night. =D And following their steps as well, I got to enjoy the evening and met a lot of amazing people with big personality. 🙂
Soon enough, Mr. Iyan came and welcomed us, then brought us to the Kemixtri Gastro Bar. Kemixtri is a bar which serves signature cocktails for your enjoyment, but also serves top-notch tapas which will please your appetite. A female DJ was doing a great job that evening, and we were enjoying ourselves somehow with the posh woody atmosphere. As a matter of fact, not so long after our entrance to Kemixtri, there were two foreigners starting to dance as if they owned the world! It was lovely to see how they could have a great time by making great quick moves. Rather than joining them on the dance floor, we could only shout and cheer them. 😀
After Kemixtri, we went ahead to have a mouth work-out. Well, since we ate a lot, we might as well call it as a kind of work-out. The best place for the work-out? Sana Sini Restaurant! In English, it might be called Here and There Restaurant. The background of the name might be because of the wide offers of different cuisines, with extensive choices. Japanese, Italian, Chinese, American, Indonesian, you name it!
Sana Sini Restaurant offers a great culinary experience in one room to people with the differing all-you-can-eat dishes, which you can just grab at every corner of the room, as you please. As soon as I stepped inside the restaurant, I could’t help but eye-ing all the delicacies with delightful presentation.
I notably found the Japanese ‘kitchen’ very attractive with the stunning selective choices of fresh sashimi on a little wooden ship, the colourful sushi rolls, tempura and lots of others. Oh, and the desserts corner really fely like the “candy house” from the child’s tale, Hansel and Gretel. The gorgeous petite cakes was calling out to me.
Let’s check some of the delicacies Sana Sini Restaurant presented for the evening.
Photobomb! =)
The sushi rolls and sashimi tasted so good I could drown myself in them.
I should tell you that the pictures above do not represent all the food there because actually, they have a lot more to offer. I didn’t get to taste all the presented dishes because I was so full halfway, and decided that I should make a room for the desserts. Oh my, the desserts were so heavenly.
So, I think I should really stop writing since I am feeling more and more hungry. By looking at the pictures myself, I think my stomach just growled louder.
Is Sana Sini Restaurant recommended? Absolutely yes. I really think that I have not finished my excursion of taste that night, and will certainly be back to finish what I have started! For you foodies, you just really have to go there and see it for yourselves. Sana Sini Restaurant is certainly one of the most promising all-you-can-eat buffet.

To really sum up, I seriously think Pullman Jakarta will be another hit. It has almost everything to offer and from the evening only, I has the feeling that it will go far. The strategic location which is in the heart of Jakarta, the modern Business and Leisure concept, the gastronomic offers, and the complete facilities will certainly bring itself out to business travellers, families and pleasure seekers!
I just wish all the best for Pullman Jakarta. Thank you for the amazing evening!
Be foodventurous people!
