Hola guys! I’ve just got back from traveling and feel purified! Now I need to start sharing a lot of things with you guys again and I have to be diligent in writing! This time, I’m here to share about a nice place that I visited before I went traveling and the name is The Safehouse Jakarta!
The location is in Kuningan area, in Jakarta and the place is honestly legit gewd! It has spacious seating area and I found the minimalist interior was a nice decision. The concept is a restaurant slash bar slash club. You can come here to have a nice lunch or dinner, or maybe to party! Our visit was for the food and spoiler alert, it’s yum!

# Cereal Grains Salad (IDR 55 k)
A combination of barley, lentils, quinoa, avocado, basil, beetroot, cashews, pomegranates, pomelo, spiced carrots and mascarpone tossed in citrus juice and orange yogurt! Just in case you want to go the healthy route! 😉
# Mini Burgers (IDR 65 k)
A selection of three mini burgers: tuna tatami, beef and mushroom ragout. Party for all!
# Tempeh Roll (IDR 60 k)
One of the unique and recommended dishes here. It’s actually spicy chicken (or you can opt for mixed vegetable) in tomato sauce, and rolled in thinly sliced tempeh.
# Chicken Ballotaine (IDR 100 k)
Sous Vide mushroom, cheese flatted, rolled chicken breast, served with potato perkedel, and sautéed purple cabbage. I found this rolled chicken dish was comforting. It tasted just right, especially with the hearty mushroom sauce.
# Lemongrass Salmon (IDR 125 k)
Pan seared lemongrass infused salmon served with cold squid ink angel hair, cherry tomatoes, onion, avocado and drizzled with lime dressing. If you love some summer dishes, this dish is for you. The salmon was pretty good with subtle lemongrass aroma and the cold squid ink angel hair brought more umami to the whole dish. Make sure you check your teeth after enjoying this, tho! 😀
# Tagliatelle Ai Funghi (IDR 80 k)
Tagliatelle cooked in truffle infused mushroom sauce, topped with Enoki Hay, arugula, semi-dried tomato and shaved parmesan. This pasta was the simplest one but tasted delicious. You should definitely try this!

I think my whole experience here at The Safehouse Jakarta pretty much sums up the reason the named the place The Safehouse. It felt safe, and comforting. Somehow assuring that patrons will get the right amount of delicious food, refreshing drinks and comfortable atmosphere.
