As a spin-off for my post about my staycation at Four Points Jakarta, here is about the dinner at The Eatery.
Located on the Ground floor, The Eatery is the only all-day-dining restaurant at Four Points Thamrin. It serves as a breakfast venue too in the morning.
Our dinner was pleasant. Along with Eddy (Eshtravaganza) and Shelmi (The Delicacies Journal), we had a 3-course dinner (or actually more).
Let’s see a bit about it.
# Caesar Salad (IDR 85 k)
The infamous salad with Romaine Lettuce, grilled chicken, beef bacon, garlic crouton, crunchy parmesan cheese and caesar dressing.
The overall taste was awesome! The combination of all ingredients melted well together in the mouth, and I think that the generous Caesar dressing was the key that tied them all.
# Bruschetta (IDR 85 k)
This Bruschetta is consisted of smoked salmon bruschetta, cream cheese and caper. I squeezed a slice of lemon and it tasted very good and refreshing!
# Beef Rendang (IDR 155k)
Using the part of beef cheek, the beef rendang was uniquely tender and juicy. It was said to be their signature dish. But if I may add a bit, the beef rendang lacked the bold and spiceful flavour that normally signifies this truly Indonesian dish. In a separate perspective, this dish might actually be great for guests from around the world. With this toned down approach, this Beef Rendang might be more easily accepted.
# Opera Cake (IDR 60k)
Since Opera cake is like super famous, I need no more introduction.
# Cheese Cake (IDR 60k)
Another famous dessert that needs no introduction and I really love this Cheese Cake. It had fluffy-ish texture and had this perfect sweetness.
# Pisang Goreng (IDR 50k)
We were actually talking about Pisang Goreng in Belitung which tasted super super good. Then, just a minute later, we were presented a plate of Pisang Goreng! Funny coincidence or wishful thinking? 😛
Anyway, the dinner was wonderful and we had fun! The Eatery is the fun all-day dining restaurant that you should visit. Prices are reasonable and you get what you pay for! There are plenty of other options too.
