By now, you readers (if you have followed my previous posts) should have known that I have this little weird hobby of buying promotional vouchers, right? Okay, this will be another post for a restaurant which I had lunch by using my voucher. 😀
Tomodachi, which is located inside the Fave Hotel by Aston, is a restaurant that serves a pretty wide range of selections, from eastern to western. You can find Japanese, Italian, or even Indonesian cuisine here.
My visit this afternoon, for lunch, really went well. After a quick reservation by phone, we went straight to Tomodachi. After arrival, we were welcomed to pick our seat, and we picked our best spot. Oh yeah, this is not our first visit. We came here for lunch months ago, and we loved the place. There are non-smoking and smoking area for patrons to choose.
For our lunch, since we used a voucher that I purchased in advance, we got to choose 1 appetizer (soup/starter/salad), 2 main courses, and 2 glasses of juices. Check our lunch here.
# Strawberry Juice (IDR 15.5 k) and Orange Soursop Juice (IDR 15.5 k)
The juice was fresh, and they were really good with not much sugar. As a hater of soursop, the orange soursop juice was not that bad. It was pretty good, surprisingly. 🙂
# Great Caesar Salad (IDR 17.5 k)
The salad we ordered came pretty fast, right after our juices were served. We got to snack the salad first and it was really good. It actually only consisted of romaine lettuce, smoked beef cheddar and dices of grilled chicken. As simple as it was, it really served a good role as a great start. It’s healthy and delicious.
# Tenderloin Steak (IDR 39.5 k)
A slice of grilled tenderloin, showered with mushroom sauce, french fries, and sautéed vegetables. What could be better? Yes, this was real good! The taste of the steak was right, perfectly grilled to a very juicy and tender manner, and the mushroom sauce was so good! It’s a must try!
Beef Amiyaki is actually a slice of sirloin with teriyaki sauce. The appearance was not that good, but actually the taste was on the contrary! The best part of this dish, was the juicy succulent sirloin. Normally, sirloin is a bit chewy, but, this one? It kind of melted in my mouth! I don’t know how the chef did this, but it was really THAT good. The Teriyaki sauce was perfect too for the sirloin. It didn’t over-power the taste of the sirloin at all. They just blended so well, I just wanted to have more and more.
Oh, I’m justifying my weird hobby. 😀 The normal prices are not expensive at all, anyway. They are pretty low for a restaurant this good. For two persons, you might only need to pay for more or less a hundred thousand, and with great satisfaction. 😀
Feel free to have a visit there. 🙂
Be foodventurous.
