A Brief Dinner at Kitchenette.

Hi foodventurers. =)

Since I have a lot of short dining experiences, I figured it out that I should just create a section for reviews with only a few straight-to-the-point pictures. Because of my currently-not-creative mind, I decided to call it a “Short Review” section. How original!

Oh okay, so for the first time, I would like to post a short review of Kitchenette, in Plaza Indonesia. I’ve actually been there several times, and apparently never got the chance to take pictures due to various reasons. The last time I went there is almost three months ago, when I made a deal of dining together with my sister’s friends, which was supposed to be at 6, and because of my work and bad traffic (both are classic excuses =P), I eventually arrived at 8, um.. okay, 8.30 to be exact.

Needless to say, everyone had done eating. So, I ordered myself a simple main, Roasted Chicken in garlic butter sauce with creamy baked potatoes and a glass of Creamy Caramel Frozen Frappe.

Let’s leave out my story for now, and check the food and drink out, yoo!

Frozen Frappe – Creamy Caramel (35k)

This beverage is actually pretty simple. It has the element of coffee, milk and caramel. Kitchenette happened to nail this drink without a glitch at all. It was well blended, thus it has snowy texture with sweet caramel dominant flavour. The hint of the coffee was still there and as I sipped it, the sweet dreamy caramel lingered in my mouth.

Roasted Chicken in Garlic Butter Sauce with Creamy Baked Potatoes (75k)

This main dish  was actually very good! The crispy-ish roasted chicken sure was delicious with a very well-blended mix of garlic (& herbs) and butter. It seemed pretty unhealthy though due to the excessive amount of melted butter, and it made me feel guilty while enjoying every bit of its tender meat. The unique thing of the dish was the side dish which happened to be a stack of sliced potatoes, bathed in melted creamy cheese.Kitchenette Plaza Indonesia Kitchenette Plaza IndonesiaSee, it’s short! =D

To sum things up, Kitchenette did a great job in filling my belly with satisfaction that night. I think maybe it’s because I was really hungry too at the moment, it played tricks in my mind. =P

For a business lunch or a quick meeting, I guess this place is a right place.

As for the end of my story that day, the evening surely passed so fast. One of my sis’s friend actually had a curfew (she lives in Tangerang and had to reach home before 10), so we had to bid our goodbye very soon after the brief solo dinner.

Well, that’s how it was.

Will I go back to Kitchenette? Of course yes! Will you go there and try their food? It’s your call.

=)

Have a nice day!
